Personal hygiene
Everyday basics such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant.
Community kiosks. Everyday dignity.
Soap. Toothpaste. Period products. The everyday things that can be hard to afford or find. Rescue on Wheels is developing community kiosks to make nonfood essentials easier to access.
A vision taking shape
Care in every community.
Care without limitations.
Everyday essentials. Dignity, always.
The heart of our work
The basics add up. Soap, toothpaste, period products, laundry supplies, and diapers all matter in daily life. When these things are hard to access, practical support matters.
We’re developing community kiosks for nonfood essentials, with dignity at the center. Our aim is to make it easier for people to find the everyday supplies they need to care for themselves and their households.
The meaning in our mark
Our interlocking wheels draw on Ezekiel’s vision and our founder’s faith in God’s presence and knowledge. For Rescue on Wheels, they express a commitment to care reaching in every direction, with dignity and access to everyday essentials unhindered by financial hardship, circumstance, or geography. Starting with community kiosks in Maryland, our vision is to grow through partnerships that extend this care internationally.
Beginning in Maryland. With a vision for international reach.
“I wanted to bridge the gap between finding help and being able to reach it.”
Meet our founder
Rescue on Wheels began with a need I saw through my work in case management.
While helping people connect with social services, I saw how hard it could be to access help. Transportation, closing times, and different operating days created real barriers. Some locations were closed when people could get there, and schedules varied from place to place. I wanted to bridge the gap between finding help and being able to reach it.
I moved to the United States in 2020. During a period of severe financial hardship, I was unhoused for almost two years. I remember searching Google for places where I could get free sanitary pads, then having to drive to collect them. My personal experience strengthened the vision that had begun through my work and made me even more determined to build it.
I live a Christ-centered life. I believe God cares about every part of our lives—the little things, all our needs, and even our comforts. That belief guides my desire to serve others through Rescue on Wheels and to reflect His care in practical ways.
I am now developing community kiosks in Maryland for everyday nonfood essentials, including personal hygiene, period care, household necessities, and baby care. My hope is to make these supplies easier to access in the communities where people live.
Rooted in faith
When the name Rescue on Wheels came to me, I wondered why “wheels.” That question led me to Ezekiel’s vision of the living creatures and the wheels beside them.
For me, that vision speaks of God’s omnipresence and omniscience: His presence everywhere and His knowledge of all things. It reminds me that no need is too small for His care.
That is the heart behind Care without limitations. I believe this organization will grow far beyond where it begins. Starting with community kiosks in Maryland, my vision is to reach communities internationally, making everyday essentials easier to access.
Inspired by Ezekiel 1:15–21 and 10:9–12.

We’re starting with plans for a Maryland pilot and exploring community spaces for an initial indoor kiosk. Locations, opening hours, and access arrangements are still being developed. If you have a potential host space, we’d love to hear from you through the interest form.
Our focus is everyday nonfood essentials, including personal hygiene, period care, household necessities, and baby care. The name led our founder, Kemba Lewis, MD, to Ezekiel’s vision of the living creatures and the wheels beside them. For her, this imagery recalls God’s presence everywhere and His knowledge of every need. Care without limitations expresses her vision for an organization that begins with community kiosks in Maryland and grows toward international reach.
